What landed
1.5.0 is a cleanup release. Nineteen changes, most of them removing a step that used to sit between you and the first turn. Templates, attachments, and a faster start carry it. The full list, grouped by category, is on the release page.
The first ten minutes
Templates are the change I would use every day. Save the shape of a chat once, including the model, access level, scope, and opening prompt, and the next chat starts from it. They stay local to the project, so a template is a saved habit rather than shared configuration.
Attachments close the other gap. Drop a file into the composer and the agent reads it in the turn instead of asking for a path. The command palette reaches projects, chats, models, and settings from anywhere, and a chat reopens with the model and thinking level it last used.
A start that arrives sooner
Cold start is about half of what it was, and the window reaches the composer before the rest of the interface paints. Review improved in the same direction: changed files group by directory with their own counts, the plan stays pinned while you read the diff, and the context meter separates this turn from the session total.
The fixes are small but load-bearing. The composer footer no longer covers the last line on narrow windows, the saved theme applies before the first paint, and the queue counter stops drifting when a turn is cancelled.
