Terms
Plain terms for using the CodeInOven website and the desktop application. They mirror the MIT license the source is published under.
Using the software
CodeInOven is free and open source under the MIT license. You may use it, modify it, and redistribute it, including commercially. The license text in the repository governs, and it governs over this page if the two ever disagree.
No warranty
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. You are responsible for the work it does in your repository and for the model credentials it uses.
Your code
Your code stays yours. It never routes through a CodeInOven proxy, your keys stay on your machine, and the app keeps its own state in its own config directory rather than writing into your repository.
Website analytics
When configured, this website sends page visits, referring domains, campaign tags, device platform, scroll depth, and download interactions to PostHog in the US. We use random browser and temporary session identifiers stored in your browser, without analytics cookies, session recordings, form contents, location, or IP addresses. Full URLs with query strings are not sent. A notice on your first visit says so, and dismissing it only hides the notice. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: with either one set, nothing is collected. Download clicks do not confirm completed downloads.
Changes
These terms may change as the product does. The version in the repository at the commit you installed is the one that applies to you.
